Email from Maxi !! :)

As we seem to be struggling for an idea still. We emailed the artist Maxi.

She replied with :

Changing ??

WE HIT A PROBLEM !!!

We've found that we do not have a strong enough idea !!

Meaning that we would have to start again !!

Digi Pak :)

We need to start thinking about our digi pak. We researched some on google and amazon and here are some we liked:

We thought about using a continuous image for the inside of our digi pak. This was done on paint.

Filming !!

The first shot that we did was the walking of the shoes. We had 4 different pairs of shoes that everytime we took a step the shoes would change.

Each time we wanted a different pair of shoe Rosela would move the camera over keeping the camera in the same line and same distance away from the walking.

This shot was tricky as you had to try and match the walking perfectly to make it a smooth shot.

New Location

Then we changed location. We moved to the garages which was round the back of the garden. We thought this was a good location as it was quirky and weird, which was the atmosphere we wanted to create.

We tried many shots with Dean such as close-up, extreme close-up, over the shoulder shot, point of view.

As you can see it started to get dark very quick so we needed to hurry the shots. In this shot we were trying to get the balloons thrown at the camera.

Rosela writing 'HAZY' and 'CRAZY' on my finger, these are words that appear in the song. In the shot we wanted me holding my finger to my mouth. Then when the words changed my finger would switch.

We put these shots at the end of the night as we wanted it to be a bit darker. The reason for this was because we wanted the lights to show perfectly.

This was the very last shot. My make-up was a mess and so was my hair. We thought that laying down with the lights all around was perfect for this ... we tried many different angles here.

Filming - Setting Up !

Before we started filming we had to set up the location of where we were filming and all the props, costumes and make-up we included.

Location

This is one of the locations that we chose to use for our music video. Also we had a second location which was a line of garages.

- Also you can see that we have a trampoline in the shot, this was going to be used as a table, however when we came to setting up we realised that it was too big and also took up to much of the garden which limited the space of which we could film in.

As we couldn't use the trampoline we decided to use two other tables which when pushed together was a perfect size.

Setting the Location

As you can see, we are attaching lights the shed. This is because when it started to get darker we wanted a shot of me standing under the shed with the lights lip synching.

Props

These are the props that we will be used , placed on the table, the watch necklace which will be worn.

We decided to have balloons as it added to the party effect, and we figured that we could do some great shots with the balloons.

These were some of the ideas that we had for costumes.

Getting Ready

This is when we was getting ready, here Rosela is writing 'Come On Over' onto my eye.

Health & Safety Risk Assessment

1- there should be no filming in inappropriate locations.

2- A check of the location should be done (roads).

3- Minimise the risks of the equipment getting stolen.

4- When filming on location ensure teacher or responsible adult know where you are, have your telephone number and what time you will be returning.

5- Check all equipment is working and of a suitable condition before you leave.

6- Ensure you have permission for filming and filming in the location chosen.

7- Always film with a least one other person.

8- Ensure that you have permission of those you are filming.

Weather Forecast!!

Before filming, we had to make sure that the weather would be in a good condition as we will be filming outside. As the weather has not been great for a couple of weeks now we have found it hard to find a day that would be right for our filming. We searched on the BBC website on how the weather is going to be for the weekend. The results turned out to be 'sunny' which is good news, also we wanted to film sunday as well for all the shots that maybe could not finish, however the weather is raining.

Plan for Filming!

12:00pm - 1:30pm -> Set up props, equipment, make-up, costumes and setting.

1:30pm - 2:00pm -> Practice run of the shots we want, and a run through of lyrics.

2:00pm - 3:00pm -> Film 'boy' scene with me and 'other girl'.

3:00pm - 3:30pm -> Change Location

3:30pm - 4:00pm ->

Set up props, equipment, make-up, costumes and setting.

4:00pm - 5:30pm -> Begin filming shots of me

5:30pm - 6:00pm -> Pack Up

More Inspiration

Me and Rosela thought of different ways that we could get inspiration. We thought that maybe we could find this on Facebook. When looking on Facebook we came across photos that were perfect for the concept and style. First we got the permission of the person and said that they would be happy for us to use the photos to get some ideas from.
