What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

With our audience feedback we have learnt alot about our video, magazine advert and digi pak. When getting our feedback we asked some people from our class to watch the music video and to look at both magazine advert and digi pak.

When getting the answers back we were very pleased with the results as the magazine advert and digi pak were liked and the music video has very positive comments.

We also made an online survey in order to get more answers through the internet. We did this on the website 'www.surveymonkey.com' .

The majority of the answers were the same, here are some of the answers:

Question 1 - Teenage Girls.

Question 2 - Yes.

Question 3 - The main positive points were the lip sinching was on point and also they enjoyed the dancing.

Question 4 - The negative points that were made were when the lip sinching changes to another location is doesnt blend very well.

Question 5 - The Magazine Advert was mainly rated as Good.

Question 6 - The reason that it didnt make 'Excellent' was because the text could have been organised a bit more neatly.

Question 7 - The Digi Pak was mainly rated as Excellent.

Question 8 - A good point was that the theme and the whole black and white effect went very well with the song and video.

We generally got positive remarks which we were delighted with and showed that all the planning we did has all gone to plan and we got the answers that we were willing to get.

Changes

Now that we had this feedback there would be a couple of things that we would do different. With the Digi Pak, as we only had a short amount of time to do this it seemed a little rushed. We would think about our images more carefully. Also with the Magazine Advert we could have put another image of maybe a guitar instead of a ballet picture as it could not attract people that are interested with that sort of genre.

Evaluation Question 4

How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

I used many new media technologies in order to construct research and plan my evaluation stages.

For the research stages we used technologies such as unsigned.com and youtube. Unsigned.com is where we found our song. Also the artists myspace page 'Maxine Vauzelle' gave us some inspiration with her pictures, where we got our vintage and retro style from.

Before we could start our researching for ideas we had to get permission from the artist which we used hotmail.com.

We then got our reply.

As soon as we got our permission for our video we started thinking of ideas and came up with a final idea which was a vintage feel we researched on google and youtube to give us more ideas.

On youtube we came across a 'GHD Hair straighteners' advert. We felt that this had a vintage feel to it as it had the old chandelier and the vinatge clock.

The story of the advert is along the lines of the fairytale 'Cinderella' which we used our own interpretation for our music video.

We also used facebook for our ideas as i saw a friends photography project. It was the exact theme that we was looking for. I asked permission before we used the pictures on our blogs, and it was confirmed.

When choosing our new idea we also used facebook again as we thought of using dance. As i had dance experience we looked through dance pictures of me to get ideas.

We came up with this picture. When choosing this we thought it would be good for our digi pak or magazine advert.

We edited this picture to see if we could make it any more interesting, we did this on picnik.

Other technologies we used were:

Still Camera - capture pictures of the filming, locations and ideas that we had.

Video Camera - used for experimenting shot and filming out music video.

Tripod - Which steaded te camera when we needed a straight shot.

Changes of Technology

Also the changes of equipment from last year to this year are the cameras. This year we used HD cameras which gave us a better quality of footage.

HD Cameras that we used this year, which gave us a more professional look on our footage.

Second thing that was changed was the software we used to edit. Last year we used 'iMovie'.

This year we used 'Final Cut Express'.

'Final Cut Express' was a much better software to use as it allowed us to use more effects and get better and cleaner cuts.

When Evaluating the Music Video, Magazine Advert and Digi Pak i used the software Microsoft Word. With this i created a questionnaire that i gave out to members of my media class. Another way i created a Questionnaire was with Survey Monkey. I posted the survey onto my facebook and had numerous people answer it to give me feedback.

For the feedback of my Music Video i asked a couple of people in my media class to watch my video. I then handed them a questionnaire which had question on my music video, magazine advert and digi pak.

Digi Pak

We have finally started our digi pak.

Working on our digi pak.

First we downloaded a template for our digi pak. We opened this out, then we found pictures that we thought would go well with the song and and video.

When we found the pictures we made them smaller and tried fitting them in in places which looked right. We tried many arrangements.

We finally come up with our idea below.

Under Pressure

We have come to STOP.

We are having trouble with the digi pak as we are confused with how to put it all together.

Safety Ruler - Ridge in the middle keeps fingers from being injured.

To get some ideas first we made random shapes onto the paper to see which ones would work best with out theme.

Here are some ideas :

First i started making random curves, which started to expand.

Here the shape is growing bigger, the problem with this pattern is that you will not be able to see a proper picture and information behind the pattern.

Some more ideas, window effect could work really well as there are big spaces for images and information.

This last idea would work very well, because we need the space so we can see everything we decided it would be good to use all space and have small lines between each.

Now i had the pattern cut out, we chose the picture to go underneath and also added a box underneath that had all the information.

Then printed it out.

i then glued the edges of the pattern and placed it carefully over the picture making sure the edges match up.

When i glued it i thne cut out the whole advert.

I then placed it into a newspaper to see how it would look as a real advert.
